NEW FEATURE
Per Game Button Mapping (BETA)
- Users can now remap the buttons on their games on a per game basis.
- This function is still in beta as more feedback and case scenarios are discovered
- To remap buttons, enter the ellipsis [...] menu on the right-hand side of the game selection screen, and select "Edit Controls (BETA)"
- Follow the onscreen instructions to remap your controls.
- If you need to reset your mapping to your game, you can also find this in the ellipsis menu under "Reset controls to default layout"
- You will not be able to remap the Directional controls, nor the Evercade Menu button as these are essential for in-game menu navigation.
KNOWN ISSUES
- TATE mode will carry remapping, and not default to the bottom A+B controls in that mode.
- Remapping any 8-bit games using NEStopia and/or FCEUMM emulators will disable the turbo mode X & Y buttons
- Custom mapping will save to the console and not the cartridge during the BETA stage to limit any issues
- Custom mapping every game is not possible as the game may not be easily remapped due to emulated controls (certain home computers like C64 or Intellivision for example.)
- Please feedback on any issues you encounter or create using the Evercade Bug Tracker: https://forms.clickup.com/20454101/f/kg6pn-3408/W8Q6EQW5FAYBWRR0XQ
